Terms of Service

By accessing or using Eigen ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Platform.

Eigen reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Eigen is a co-founder matching platform that connects entrepreneurs based on complementary skills, shared values, and aligned goals. Our services include profile creation, intelligent matching, compatibility scoring, messaging, and discovery features.

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use Eigen. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• You may not create multiple accounts or transfer your account to another person.

You agree not to:

• Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information on your profile
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Use the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Spam, solicit, or send unsolicited commercial messages to other users
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Platform
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure or security
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the Platform to promote competing services

You retain ownership of any content you submit to Eigen, including profile information, messages, and portfolio materials. By submitting content, you grant Eigen a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. Content must not violate any applicable laws, infringe on third-party rights, or contain harmful, offensive, or inappropriate material.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or that we deem inappropriate, without prior notice.

Eigen offers free and paid subscription plans. By subscribing to a paid plan:

• You authorize us to charge the applicable fees through our payment processor (Polar).
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if you believe you are entitled to a refund.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes will apply to the next billing cycle.

Eigen provides matching suggestions and compatibility scores based on user profiles. These are algorithmic recommendations and do not constitute endorsements or guarantees of any kind.

You acknowledge that Eigen is not responsible for the conduct, reliability, or suitability of any user you interact with on the Platform. All interactions between users are at your own risk.

We strongly recommend conducting your own due diligence before entering into any business partnership or agreement with another user.

The Eigen name, logo, design, and all associated intellectual property are owned by Eigen. You may not use our trademarks, branding, or proprietary materials without prior written consent.

The Platform's software, algorithms, design elements, and content (excluding user-generated content) are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Your use of Eigen is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

You may delete your account at any time. Eigen reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Eigen does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Eigen does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any user profiles, compatibility scores, or matching recommendations.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eigen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. This includes, but is not limited to, damages resulting from business partnerships formed through the Platform.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Eigen in the twelve months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Eigen and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration, unless otherwise required by law.
